George T. Stagg
This 15 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey was awarded second finest whiskey in the world and Bourbon of the year, scoring 97.5 in Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible 2012. An extremely hearty whiskey, straight out of the barrel, uncut and unfiltered. Powerful and intense; add a few drops of mineral water, sit back and ponder the wonders of the universe. Every case is hand bottled and labelled to ensure the highest quality finish, designed to show the whiskey’s dark and rich colour.
The George T. Stagg Distillery continued in operation up to and through Prohibition, one of only four such distilleries to remain open during that period and the only one to survive to the present day, now known as Buffalo Trace Distillery.
George T Stagg presents caramel, vanilla, sweet oak and glace cherries. Full-bodied, with plump corn, butterscotch, spicy oak and pipe tobacco on the palate. The long finish featuring oak, toffee, ginger and cherries.
Ancient buffalo carved paths through the wilderness that led American pioneers and explorers to new frontiers. One such trail led to the banks of the Kentucky River where Buffalo Trace Distillery has been making bourbon whiskey the same way for more than 200 years.
